Hello, BHR Friends and Neighbors!
Have you ever looked at the beautiful forest on your land and wondered “Oh my, where do I start to begin protecting my home and land investment from wildland fire”? Well you are in luck. The Blackhawk Ranch Emergency Management Committee is sponsoring an excellent Home Ignition Zone Assessment tutorial and demonstration by Paul Branson, Huerfano County All-Hazards Manager. Paul is an expert in Home Ignition Zone assessments and mitigation planning (among other things!). He will present a practical hands on tutorial on this topic and will demonstrate on one of our own homes on the BHR. You will leave this presentation with a tremendous amount of practical knowledge and planning advice that will serve you in good stead as you make plans to protect your investment here on the BHR.
This is a very significant opportunity that we are lucky to have. While we regret it will be held on a weekday, like so many other important opportunities, this will be worth taking a day off from work if you need to in order to attend.
Where: JP Angelillo and Debra Wilson’s Property (Lot # 169)
When: Wednesday, September 22, 210:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
We hope as many as possible can plan to attend this training event and look forward to working with you to assess your needs in this area going forward.
Best regards to all,
Brad Brooks
